The Masterclass “How to prepare and win a conducting competition?” with Maestro Jin Wang and Bucharest Symphony Orchestra

All active, beginner and passive students applications are welcome.
National University of Music – Strada Știrbei Vodă 33, București 03016, Romania. The University is located in the very centre of Bucharest, 5 min. walk from Romanian Athenaeum, near the Cismigiu Park and 10 from Piata Romana Metro station.
The Masterclass will be held in English/German and Chinese
Haydn Symphony no. 100 in G Major – first movement, Mozart “Magic Flute” Overture, Beethoven – “Egmont” Overture, Mendelssohn Symphony No. 3 in A minor, Op. 56, “The Scottish” – first movement, Strauss “Die Fledermaus” Overture, Dvorak Symphony no. 7 – first movement, Debussy Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune, Enescu Rhapsody no. 1, Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 4 in F minor, Op. 3.
The participants must provide their own scores.
Daily schedule: July 21-24
9:00 rehearsal preparations with Jin Wang
10:00-14:00 conducting/rehearsals with BSO
15:00-18:00 conducting/rehearsals with string quartet
19:00-21:00 seminars with video
The number of the candidates will be the factor that will decide the sum of the total number of minutes of conducting session / student.
Sorry, phones are not allowed in the sessions and students are not allowed to film the Masterclass sessions, either by phone or by any video / audio recording equipment. You can request to have a official copy of your performance sessions at the Masterclass and inform us while attending the event about your intention. The cost of providing your video is 50 EUR / student.
